This yeast-fermented coffee "Fermentado" hails from Fazenda do Engenho. Located in Carmo de Minas, Fazendo de Engenho sits in the renowned coffee-growing region of southern Minas Gerais. With fertile red volcanic soil, a mild climate, and well-distributed rainfall, Minas is ideal for producing exceptional coffee. Established in the 1930s, the farm has been passed down through generations and is now run by Maria Célia Chaib de Sousa Bernardes and her children. In the early 2000s, they invested in infrastructure, improving drying patios, storage, and post-harvest processing, significantly enhancing coffee quality. Their commitment to innovation and excellence continues today. This Yellow Catuai varietal is uniquely-processed to highlight the wonderful characteristics of coffee in this region, and is also one of the best Brazilian coffees we have ever tried. Enjoy notes of wild honey, berries, caramel, graham cracker, and peach cobbler! It's truly a work of art.
This coffee is versatile and works well with all brewing methods.
